The Vermont EPSCoR Research Infrastructure Improvement Program—EPSCoR Collaborations for Optimizing Research Ecosystems (E-CORE)—Pilot Research Grant supports the development, enhancement, and sustainability of Vermont's research infrastructure. The program is designed to foster innovative, early-stage research projects that align with the state’s current NSF-funded SOCKS (Science of Online Corpora, Knowledge, and Stories) initiative. Key focus areas include data science, computational narrative analytics, research administration, STEM education and workforce development, broadening participation, and statewide research collaborations. The grant aims to build research capacity, promote cross-institutional partnerships, and ensure that research infrastructure and expertise are sustainable beyond the grant period.
