    Description

EU4Health is the European Union’s flagship health funding programme for 2021–2027, created in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and designed to reinforce crisis preparedness, strengthen health systems, and address pressing health challenges across the EU and associated countries. Managed by the European Health and Digital Executive Agency (HaDEA), EU4Health funds projects, tenders, and initiatives that improve health outcomes, foster innovation, and support health system resilience.

The programme covers a broad range of priorities, including:

    • Health promotion and disease prevention (notably cancer and mental health)
    • Crisis preparedness and response to cross-border health threats
    • Ensuring access to medicinal products, medical devices, and crisis-relevant supplies
    • Digital transformation and reinforcement of health systems

Funding is awarded through competitive calls for proposals and tenders, published throughout the year.
