The Evarts A. Graham Memorial Traveling Fellowship is designed to broaden the training and international experience of young academic cardiothoracic surgeons from outside North America. Established by the American Association for Thoracic Surgery (AATS), this fellowship provides recipients with the opportunity to observe, consult, teach, and conduct research at multiple North American host institutions under the guidance of established mentors. Each year, two fellows—one specializing in cardiac surgery and one in thoracic surgery—are selected for a six-month fellowship, with the expectation that they will return to their home countries to contribute to the global advancement of thoracic surgery.
