Description
This opportunity supports the delivery of three in-person executive leadership training programs for new wardens, including pre-class instructional webinars and post-event coaching. The program aims to build leadership capacity within corrections agencies, addressing the growing need for qualified wardens due to retirements and population growth. The training curriculum, updated in 2022, is designed for wardens with fewer than two years of experience and covers institutional culture, central office relationships, fiscal decision-making, human resource management, media relations, action planning, and self-care. Participants also benefit from national peer networking opportunities.
