This grant supports the expansion of substance use disorder (SUD) treatment and recovery support services within existing adult and family treatment drug courts. Funded projects must implement a coordinated, multisystem approach that integrates the legal authority of drug courts with evidence-based SUD treatment services. The aim is to disrupt cycles of criminal behavior, substance use, and incarceration by engaging key stakeholders such as the judiciary, prosecution, defense attorneys, probation services, law enforcement, mental health professionals, social service agencies, and treatment providers.
