Description
The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Science, through its Advanced Scientific Computing Research (ASCR) program, invites proposals for basic research projects that explore potentially high-impact, innovative approaches in scientific computing and extreme-scale science. This opportunity is designed to seed new directions and transformative ideas that could significantly advance computational science, modeling, simulation, and data analysis at extreme scales.
The program seeks to support exploratory research that may be too novel or high-risk for traditional funding mechanisms, with the goal of accelerating breakthroughs in computational methods, algorithms, and technologies relevant to DOE mission areas.
