This funding opportunity supports the maintenance, enhancement, and modernization of the CDC’s Vision and Eye Health Surveillance System (VEHSS), the nation’s only comprehensive, interactive collection of vision and eye health data. The VEHSS aggregates data from national surveys, administrative claims, electronic health records, and published studies to track the prevalence of major eye diseases, vision impairment, service utilization, and related risk factors and social determinants of health at national, state, and county levels.
