The Faculty Leadership for International Training and Exchange (FLITE) program, offered by the Council of American Overseas Research Centers (CAORC), is a professional development opportunity for U.S. college and university faculty and administrators. The program is designed to build global leadership capacity on campuses by equipping participants with the skills, resources, and networks to integrate international education and global perspectives into curricula and campus initiatives. FLITE combines a 10-week online course, guided project work with mentorship, and a culminating 12-day Overseas Faculty Development Seminar in Cambodia, where participants engage in immersive, place-based learning and present their institutional internationalization projects. The program aims to foster globally-minded graduates and strengthen international engagement across U.S. higher education.
