Description
Triangle Community Foundation’s Faith-Based Housing Affordability Grant Program helps congregations and local housing nonprofits work together during the early stages of housing development. It funds project-specific pre-development and capacity-building work intended to reduce financial and technical barriers and help faith-based organizations put their assets to work for community-serving affordable housing.
Supported work may include community engagement, congregational education and consensus building, architectural fit assessments, site or environmental surveys, financial modeling, legal work on land leases or title searches, and zoning or entitlement work. The foundation seeks projects responsive to community needs and a grantee cohort representing varied housing affordability strategies across Wake, Durham, Orange, and Chatham counties.
