Description
The New Jersey Department of Health’s Family and Internal Medicine Residency Expansion Program supports hospitals in increasing the number of residents training in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or both. The program funds new residents in existing residency programs, rather than residents already in place or new residency programs.
Administered through the Department’s Office of Health Care Financing, the program aims to expand postgraduate medical training in these two specialties. Hospitals may seek support to grow either one of the specified programs or both, provided the funding adds residents.
