Description
The Nebraska Council on Developmental Disabilities (NCDD), within Nebraska DHHS’s Division of Public Health, administers this federal subaward to improve competitive integrated employment for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). Projects should advance the Council’s 2027–2031 State Plan employment or youth-transition objectives through systems change, collaboration, improved employment data, and access to information and planning supports.
Suggested priorities include researching transportation barriers, expanding Charting the LifeCourse-based person-centered planning for transition-aged youth ages 14–21, and educating businesses about inclusive hiring. Activities may gather individual and family stories, collect surveys, recommend process improvements, or develop reports, handbooks, and training curricula. Applicants must explain how their projects promote inclusion and self-direction and will continue beyond the one-year funding period. Supported employment job coach training is outside this opportunity’s scope.
