Description
The Fellows Research Award is funded by donations from Fellows of the Medieval Academy of America. It supports medieval studies research by helping scholars who lack access to research funding consult materials relevant to their work. The Academy aims to make two awards each year for Ph.D. candidates and non-tenure-track scholars.
The awards help cover travel and access expenses involved in working with original sources, archives, manuscripts, works of art, or monuments in situ. Their purpose is to make direct engagement with this evidence possible when a lack of research funding might otherwise limit it.
