This program provides funding to New Jersey Qualifying Research Institutions (QRI) to develop and implement structured Fellowship Training Programs (FTP) for first- and second-year medical students. The goal is to spark early interest in oncology, build foundational cancer research knowledge, and expose participants to career pathways across cancer research and clinical disciplines, including medical, surgical, and radiation oncology, palliative care, and survivorship. Through immersive 4–8 week programs, participating students receive mentorship, interdisciplinary education, and hands-on research experience, strengthening New Jersey’s pipeline of future cancer researchers.
