The American-Scandinavian Foundation (ASF) offers fellowships to support U.S. citizens and permanent residents undertaking study, research, or creative arts projects in the Nordic region, including Denmark, Greenland, Faroe Islands, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Sápmi, and Sweden. The program encourages cross-cultural understanding and academic collaboration, awarding support for projects in all fields. Priority is given to graduate students, especially those conducting dissertation research, and academic professionals. Over its history, ASF has funded more than 4,000 fellows, fostering educational exchange between the United States and the Nordic countries.
