The Allen Lab for Democracy Renovation Fellowships at the Harvard Kennedy School’s Ash Center support faculty, doctoral and postdoctoral students, and practitioners whose research or policy work advances healthy democracy in the 21st century. Fellows pursue self-directed projects aligned with the Lab’s themes: technology and democracy, new frameworks for political economy, democracy reform, and civic education policy. The program is multidisciplinary and seeks applicants with well-developed research agendas that can be translated from research to impact. Fellows join a vibrant academic community, participate in Lab meetings, and contribute to the Ash Center’s mission of democracy innovation.
