This program funds large-scale, international clinical research projects focused on sex-related differences in cardiovascular disease, anchored in the Nordic countries. The aim is to enhance clinical understanding and improve outcomes for women by supporting research on early detection, diagnosis, treatment, and the impact of sex-specific risk factors and social determinants. Targeted conditions include, but are not limited to, SCAD, MINOCA, INOCA, Takotsubo cardiomyopathy, and HFpEF. Projects must foster international collaboration and directly address sex-related differences as a core research focus.
