This grant program supports projects that expand or create new, independent, domestically owned fertilizer manufacturing capacity in the United States and its territories. The goal is to provide U.S. agricultural producers with more domestic fertilizer options, increase supply chain resilience, and promote competition outside of the dominant fertilizer suppliers. Eligible projects include new construction, facility expansion or modernization, equipment purchases, and logistics improvements directly tied to fertilizer process manufacturing. The program is administered by USDA Rural Business-Cooperative Service, funded through the Commodity Credit Corporation.
