Description
The Food and Fiber Processing Grant Program, administered by the Farm and Food Growth Fund (FFGF) for the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets, provides funding to support the expansion and scaling of food and fiber processing operations within New York State. The program targets both existing and new products produced and harvested in the state, with a focus on facility construction, renovation, and equipment purchase or installation. Priority is given to projects that expand the processing of fruits, vegetables, grains, beans for human consumption, and plant or animal fibers. The program emphasizes the use of New York State-grown or raised agricultural ingredients and supports initiatives such as Nourish NY, Farm-to-School, and the NYS 30% Initiative.
