This funding opportunity, under the iNNO SED Open Call for Associated Regions, is designed to support local or regional authorities in addressing sediment-related challenges within river systems, particularly those affected by severe erosion, sedimentation, or pollution. The program aims to transfer and scale up innovative sediment assessment and management solutions, with a strong focus on knowledge exchange and replicability beyond the Danube River Basin.
Eligible projects may address improvement of sediment management, advanced monitoring, awareness raising, integration of sediment management into policies, promotion of sediments in the circular economy, or the implementation of nature-based solutions. Participation provides access to technical expertise, knowledge sharing, and capacity building through the iNNO SED network.
