This grant supports early-career, pre-tenured scholars of color in North America as they complete significant book-length research projects related to Christian faith, practice, and institutions in the U.S. or Canada. The program is especially interested in work that bridges the church and the academy, addresses historically underrepresented Christian traditions, and is already underway (e.g., under contract or publisher consideration). The grant funds research leave, enabling recipients to devote a full academic or calendar year to research and writing, and includes participation in a collaborative Winter Seminar.
