This grant provides technical and financial assistance to federally recognized Tribal governments for the conservation and management of fish, wildlife, and their habitats. Funding supports a wide range of activities, including conservation planning, habitat restoration, research, field surveys, species monitoring, and conservation education. Projects may target any plant or animal species of interest to the Tribe, regardless of hunting, fishing, or conservation status, and are intended to advance Tribal conservation priorities, cultural values, and self-governance.
