Description
The Flint Kids Fund, administered by the Community Foundation of Greater Flint, supports programs and services that address and mitigate the effects of lead poisoning and trauma from the Flint water crisis. Established in 2016 as a 20-year fund, it prioritizes investments with the greatest impact on Flint children's long-term health and development.
The fund's goal is for Flint youth to grow into healthy young adults, supported by community-based systems that strengthen learning and school achievement, health and development, and social skills and confidence. Its strategic priorities span high-quality education and family literacy, healthy food and nutrition education, comprehensive primary care, and family, social, and emotional support.
