The Food Security Infrastructure Grant Program (FSIG), administered by the Massachusetts Department of Agricultural Resources (MDAR), funds capital infrastructure and equipment projects that build a stronger, more resilient, and equitable food system within Massachusetts. The program aims to increase local food production and consumption, expand processing, storage, and distribution capacity, and improve food access in both commercial and noncommercial settings. Priority is given to projects directly benefiting underserved and under-resourced communities. Eligible projects must result in durable, functional infrastructure that supports food production, processing, aggregation, storage, distribution, or access.
