Description
This forecasted Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) will invite applications for P30 Cancer Center Support Grants (CCSGs) to support NCI-designated Cancer Centers. The CCSG program funds three types of centers:
- Comprehensive Cancer Centers: Must demonstrate significant depth and breadth of research in basic laboratory, clinical, and prevention/control/population-based research, with strong transdisciplinary integration.
- Clinical Cancer Centers: Focus on basic laboratory, clinical, and/or prevention/control/population-based research, or a combination thereof.
- Basic Cancer Centers: Primarily focused on basic laboratory research.
The overarching goal is to integrate all institutional cancer research capabilities into a single, transdisciplinary research enterprise. Supported centers are expected to:
- Serve as major sources of discovery in cancer biology and treatment.
- Develop and maintain shared resources to support research.
- Collaborate with other NCI-funded programs and investigators.
- Disseminate research findings for community benefit.
