Description
This grant opportunity from the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) funds high-priority projects aimed at improving the health and resilience of forests and woodlands on public lands. Supported activities include forest and woodland restoration, sustainable forest management, fire resiliency, biomass utilization for bioenergy, habitat conservation, and recovery from insect, disease, and fire disturbances. Projects may involve tree planting, thinning, salvage operations, vegetation control, fuels reduction, riparian or upland restoration, planning and compliance activities (NEPA, ESA, cultural clearances), data collection, and monitoring.
Priority is given to projects supporting Executive Order 14225 for the immediate expansion of American timber production. Proposals should demonstrate benefits that extend across multiple states or BLM office boundaries and must clearly articulate public benefit.
