Description
This opportunity funds projects that advance the health and resilience of forests and woodlands on Bureau of Land Management (BLM) public lands. Supported activities include forest restoration, fire resiliency, sustainable timber production, biomass utilization, habitat conservation, and recovery from insect, disease, and fire impacts. Projects may involve tree planting, thinning, fuels reduction, salvage harvests, and planning or NEPA/ESA compliance work. The program aligns with Executive Order 14225 (Immediate Expansion of American Timber Production) and Section 50301 of The One Big Beautiful Bill, emphasizing ecosystem restoration, sustainable management, and public benefit.
The program is open to projects with national impact across BLM boundaries (excluding Alaska, Arizona, Idaho, and the National Interagency Fire Center). All proposals must list the state(s) of the project in the application title.
