This funding opportunity, offered by the U.S. Embassy Abu Dhabi’s Public Diplomacy Section, seeks proposals to develop and implement the programmatic elements of the Freedom 250 Great American State Fair in Abu Dhabi. The initiative is part of the U.S. Department of State’s efforts to celebrate 250 years of American independence and to strengthen U.S.-UAE commercial and cultural ties. The selected grantee will design, curate, and deliver a comprehensive three-day fair experience that authentically showcases American heartland culture, entrepreneurship, culinary traditions, entertainment, and innovation for UAE audiences.
The grantee will focus on programming and participant engagement, including interactive attractions, themed parades, entertainment showcases, curated exhibitions, family experiences, and a culinary and retail village featuring American brands and vendors. Coordination with a UAE Local Partner Entity (which will provide venue infrastructure and operational support) is required, and the grantee must sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with this entity upon award.
