The Frontiers Planet Prize, coordinated at CU Boulder as a limited submission opportunity, is an international award recognizing scientific breakthroughs that have the greatest potential to accelerate the transition to global sustainability. The program highlights research that advances the understanding of planetary boundaries and solutions for safeguarding Earth's systems. CU Boulder’s Research & Innovation Office (RIO) manages the internal competition to select a single nominee to represent the university in the global competition.
