Recipients may pursue research, teaching, or a combination of both. While the program is open to all fields, projects that address contemporary issues relevant to Canada, the United States, and their bilateral relationship are especially encouraged. Applicants must demonstrate the necessity of U.S. residency for their proposed project and secure an affiliation with a U.S. host institution, including a letter of invitation.
