This award enables a U.S. scholar to spend five or six months at the Diplomatische Akademie Wien – Vienna School of International Studies in Vienna, Austria, combining teaching and research. The grantee will teach two graduate-level courses (nine sessions of 90 minutes each) with content and structure negotiated with the host academy, aligning with both institutional needs and the scholar’s expertise. In addition to teaching and research, the scholar may deliver public talks, mentor students, and participate in academic and public events, strengthening academic ties and international understanding between the U.S. and Austria. The program welcomes multidisciplinary approaches, especially in economics, history, international relations, and law.
