Description
The American School of Classical Studies at Athens (ASCSA) welcomes affiliation requests from applicants pursuing Fulbright-funded research or graduate study in Greece. ASCSA reviews requests and may provide a Letter of Affiliation identifying the host and collaborating institution. Fulbright administers the grants and determines their funding; ASCSA affiliation support is not a separate grant.
Applicants may seek ASCSA affiliation for five Fulbright U.S. Student Program opportunities: the Bulgaria–Greece Joint Research Award, Greece–Turkey Joint Research Award, Graduate Studies at Greek State Universities Award, IKY Ph.D. Research Award, and Open Study/Research Award. Fulbright asks applicants to secure an affiliation in Greece and propose a well-formulated, achievable project under the guidance of an adviser or mentor at an educational, cultural, or government institution.
