    Description

The Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant (FLTA) Program, administered by the Institute of International Education (IIE) and sponsored by the U.S. Department of State, offers early-career educators from more than 50 countries the opportunity to teach their native languages at U.S. colleges and universities. The program aims to enhance Americans’ understanding of foreign languages and cultures while allowing FLTAs to develop their professional skills and gain firsthand experience of U.S. academic and cultural life. FLTAs typically assist with language teaching, lead conversation groups, participate in community activities, and take courses to further their own academic and professional goals.
