This opportunity provides funding to state workforce agencies (SWAs) for the ongoing administration of the Pandemic Emergency Unemployment Compensation (PEUC) program, established under the CARES Act. Although the PEUC program expired in September 2021, states continue to incur costs related to program integrity, fraud prevention, overpayment recovery, data retention, reporting, and audit/oversight activities. The grant is intended to support these residual administrative activities, ensuring compliance with federal requirements and support for ongoing reconciliation, reporting, and fraud mitigation efforts.
