This opportunity provides administrative funding to states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands for ongoing activities related to the expired CARES Act Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA) program. While PUA and related programs ended in September 2021, states continue to incur costs for activities such as fraud prevention, overpayment recovery, data retention, financial reconciliation, and responding to audits and oversight. Funding is intended to ensure these critical administrative tasks can be completed as required by federal law and oversight agencies.
