Description
This opportunity, funded by UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) through the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC), aims to establish a multidisciplinary Network Plus to drive UK collaboration and strategic direction in future computing paradigms. The initiative is structured in two phases: an initial 18-month evidence-gathering phase (producing academic landscaping, benchmarking, horizon scanning, and a strategic roadmap), followed by a 42-month network phase to unite researchers from engineering, physical sciences, social sciences, business, policy, and industry. The overarching goal is to address fragmented activities, foster innovation, and position the UK as a leader in transformative computing, ensuring advances align with national priorities, resilience, sustainability, and ethical considerations.
