This opportunity funds the creation of a multidisciplinary Network Plus focused on future computing paradigms, aiming to position the UK as a leader in next-generation computing research and strategy. The initiative, supported by UKRI via the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC), is structured in two phases: an initial 18-month evidence-gathering phase (landscaping, benchmarking, horizon scanning, and roadmap development), followed by a 42-month network phase to foster collaboration, knowledge exchange, and community building. The network will address fragmented activity, promote inclusivity, and provide strategic advice to stakeholders, ensuring the UK’s research ecosystem is robust, diverse, and internationally competitive.
