Description
This opportunity funds the Annual Surveys of Probation and Parole (ASPP), the Bureau of Justice Statistics’ (BJS) most comprehensive source of information on persons under community supervision in the United States. The ASPP aims to accurately report the number of individuals under correctional supervision in the community, track changes and factors influencing these numbers, and analyze the characteristics and outcomes of this population. The project involves collecting data as a census from all known probation and parole supervising agencies, using central reporters where possible to minimize burden. The awardee will be responsible for data collection, processing, and analysis for five reference years (2026–2030), with the project period running from October 1, 2026, to September 30, 2031.
