This opportunity funds the implementation of the Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange (CBYX) for Young Professionals and the Congress-Bundestag/Bundesrat Staff Exchange (CBBSX) for the 2027–2028 academic year. The program aims to strengthen U.S.-German ties by supporting approximately 65 American and 65 German young professionals (ages 18.5–24) in year-long exchanges involving language training, academic study, internships, and homestays. The CBBSX component supports short-term reciprocal exchanges for U.S. Congressional and German parliamentary staffers. The selected U.S. organization will coordinate recruitment, selection, placement, monitoring, and support for participants, in partnership with a German organization, and provide logistical support for outbound staff exchanges.
