Description
This grant program provides funding to local communities and groups of individuals for technical assistance related to the safety and environmental mitigation of pipeline facilities. The goal is to empower communities to conduct engineering or scientific analyses, promote public participation, and enhance local capacity to address pipeline safety concerns. Funding may be used for activities such as emergency response improvements, public awareness campaigns, safe digging programs, and development of pipeline safety resources, but cannot be used for lobbying, litigation, regulatory compliance, or typical operations and maintenance of pipeline facilities.
