    Description

This Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) from NOAA's Office of Education invites applications for research, education, outreach, and innovative projects that support NOAA’s strategic plan and mission goals. The BAA is designed to fund special projects not addressed through NOAA’s standard competitive programs, and is open to a wide range of project types, including conferences, outreach, and research initiatives. Each NOAA Line or Staff Office (e.g., National Marine Fisheries Service, National Ocean Service, National Weather Service, Office of Atmospheric Research, Office of Education, National Environmental Satellite Data Information Service) has a separate BAA; applicants should submit to the office most relevant to their project.

Projects must align with at least one of NOAA’s four mission goals:

    • Climate Adaptation and Mitigation
    • Weather-Ready Nation
    • Healthy Oceans
    • Resilient Coastal Communities and Economies

Funding is contingent on annual appropriations, and there is no guarantee of award.
