Description
The Continuum of Care (CoC) Program and Youth Homelessness Demonstration Program (YHDP) are flagship federal funding opportunities from HUD designed to promote a community-wide commitment to ending homelessness. Funding supports rapid rehousing, permanent supportive housing, transitional housing, supportive service-only, and Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) projects. Special focus is given to youth experiencing homelessness (up to age 24), survivors of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking. The program encourages coordinated community approaches, collaboration with mainstream resources, and optimizing self-sufficiency for individuals and families.
