Description
This funding opportunity supports the development and refinement of wetland protection and management programs by state, Tribal, territory (Insular Areas), local government agencies, and interstate or intertribal entities. The program aims to increase the quantity and quality of wetlands in the U.S. by conserving and restoring wetland acreage and improving wetland condition. Grantees are expected to build capacity using the EPA’s Core Elements of a Wetlands Program and, for states and Tribes, the development of Wetland Program Plans (WPPs). Projects should align with the EPA’s goals to develop effective, comprehensive wetland protection and management programs.
