Summary: Supports existing Sea Grant Programs in the U.S. to fund workshops, professional meetings, and related travel or logistics for Sea Grant professionals.
Key Information: Only existing Sea Grant College, Institutional, or Coherent Area Programs are eligible; 50% non-federal match required.
Description
This funding opportunity, administered by the National Sea Grant College Program (NOAA), provides support for existing Sea Grant Programs to organize, participate in, or travel to workshops and professional meetings. The goal is to enhance the capacity of Sea Grant professionals to address priority topics, implement strategic plans, and foster collaboration within the Sea Grant network and with external partners. Projects must take place within the United States, its territories, or their respective waterways.
Eligible activities include:
- Organizing and leading workshops or professional meetings.
- Supporting travel for Sea Grant professionals to attend relevant events.
- Covering participation costs for Sea Grant staff in workshops, conferences, or meetings aligned with Sea Grant’s mission.
- Funding logistics, administration, and related expenses for such events.
Proposals should align with the applicant program’s 2023–27 strategic plan and/or the Sea Grant Network Visioning Plans.
