--- ## Description The USDA Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) is offering a cooperative agreement to support projects that incentivize the purchase of qualifying fluid milk by households participating in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). The Healthy Fluid Milk Incentive (HFMI) program aims to develop, implement, and test methods that increase healthy milk consumption among SNAP recipients by providing financial incentives at the point of purchase in authorized retailer locations. The initiative also seeks to identify and strengthen strategies that encourage healthy dietary choices and improve nutrition outcomes for low-income families. Projects must focus on providing SNAP households with incentives for purchasing unflavored, pasteurized cow’s milk that meets FDA, state, and local standards and is consistent with current dietary guidelines.
