Description
This opportunity, administered by the Office for Victims of Crime (OVC), supports the Antiterrorism and Emergency Assistance Program (AEAP) for Crime Victim Compensation and/or Assistance in response to mass violence or terrorism events. The program provides supplemental funding to eligible entities, specifically invited by OVC, to address the needs of victims when the magnitude of an incident exceeds the capacity of local resources. AEAP grants can support crisis response, consequence management, criminal justice support, and crime victim compensation, either combined or separately, depending on the needs identified by the applicant and OVC. Funding is drawn from the Antiterrorism Emergency Reserve and is intended to ensure timely and comprehensive support for victims in extraordinary circumstances.
