Description
This competitive grant program funds Massachusetts public schools to enhance evidence-based early literacy instruction and build capacity to mentor teacher candidates seeking licensure in Early Childhood (PK–2), Elementary (1–6), or Moderate Disabilities (PK–2/PK–8). Awarded schools will implement initiatives during the 2026–2027 academic year that foster sustainable early literacy practices, participate in professional learning communities, and strengthen partnerships with educator preparation programs. Grantees will also contribute to the evaluation process for Launchpad School designation, which recognizes schools as exemplary sites for field-based teacher training in early literacy.
