This grant supports Massachusetts middle schools in designing and implementing comprehensive career connected learning experiences that integrate academic, personal, social/emotional, and career development. The program emphasizes a whole-school approach to building student self-awareness, exploring diverse career options, and developing key employability skills such as teamwork and communication. Activities should be aligned with the My Career and Academic Plan (MyCAP) framework and the state’s career development model, ensuring intentional connection to high school career planning processes. Funding may be used to create a MyCAP middle school scope and sequence, develop career-connected lessons and activities, and support professional development for staff.
