Description
The Alabama Public Library Service (APLS) Professional Training Grant provides financial support to current employees of Alabama public libraries (or APLS itself) who are pursuing a master's degree in library and information science from an ALA-accredited institution. The goal is to enhance the professional skills of library staff and, by extension, improve library services throughout Alabama. Funding is provided through the Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) and is aligned with the APLS Five-Year Plan to build workforce capacity in public libraries.
