This grant provides federal funding to eligible postsecondary institutions in Massachusetts to improve and expand Career and Technical Education (CTE) and career-connected learning programs in alignment with the state's Perkins V plan. The initiative is designed to ensure equitable, culturally and linguistically sustaining educational environments, foster student belonging and engagement, and support the development of a diverse and effective educator workforce. Funds must be used to advance at least one of the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education’s strategic objectives: whole student support, deeper learning, or workforce diversity. There is a strong emphasis on closing achievement gaps for populations that are chronically unemployed or underemployed, including special populations.
