Description
This opportunity, administered by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), funds projects that advance the conservation and recovery of threatened, endangered, and BLM Sensitive Species (collectively, BLM Special Status Species) and their habitats. The program aims to inform a sustainable balance of multiple uses on BLM-managed lands, including energy, minerals, timber, grazing, recreation, and wildlife habitat, while supporting the Department of the Interior’s priorities to streamline permitting and reduce regulatory requirements.
Projects may include species and habitat conservation or recovery actions, inventory and monitoring, research, outreach, and public education, as well as activities to support the delisting or preclusion of listing species as threatened or endangered. Applicants are encouraged to address national and state-specific priorities, with a focus on on-the-ground actions, data collection, and public benefit.
