Description
This program, administered by the Office of Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS Office) at the U.S. Department of Justice, provides funding to develop and disseminate law enforcement products and resources that advance community policing. The initiative aims to support the creation of guidance on promising practices, innovative strategies, and effective approaches that promote safe communities and a positive image of policing. There are two funding categories: (1) Law Enforcement Products and Resources—focused on products for national distribution supporting common sense policing practices, and (2) the COPS Training Portal—supporting the deployment of the COPS Office’s eLearning platform for law enforcement training.
